About us
Anchor Homecare has over 30 years of experience in care and support, and we're proud to be led by Tracy Prescott, our Director of Care and 2025 British Care Awards winner, supported by our multi-award-winning senior and care team. The experience, dedication, and heart within our team is something we're truly proud of.
We are specialists in Dementia care, Palliative care, Mental Health support, Sensory Impairments, and Physical Disability, supporting adults from the age of 18 and over. Our staff are carefully selected through values-based recruitment, which means we only bring people onto our team who share our commitment to person-centred care, people who have the right values, behaviours, and attitude, not just the right qualifications.
We offer a wide range of services to meet every need, big or small. From a friendly virtual check-in call to planned daily visits, personal care, companionship, community support, and our much-loved Day Centre, right through to sleep-in and 24-hour live-in support. Whether your needs are short-term or long-term, we're flexible and adaptable. As life changes, so do we.
A word from Claire
Our Registered Manager
2015-2017
2011-2014
I made the decision to work in community care the moment I turned 18. It was never a difficult choice, from a young age I knew it was something I found deeply rewarding, and that feeling has never left me.
Over the years I have worked in both care homes and the community, and through both I have seen first-hand what this career truly offers: the chance to make a visible, meaningful difference in someone's life, every single day.
That became deeply personal for me in 2019, when my mum was diagnosed with incurable cancer. I made the decision to care for her at home during her final months, something that allowed our family to spend precious time together and honour her wish to stay in the place she loved.

2007-2010
It also gave me the opportunity to support my dad through the loss of his wife of over 40 years, helping him with the day-to-day tasks that were suddenly unfamiliar to him.
Losing both of my parents within four years only strengthened my conviction. Care is not just my career, it is something I believe in completely. I know from my own experience the difference that compassionate, skilled support can make to a person and to the people who love them, and that is what drives me to make a difference in the lives of others every day.
Our Misson
At Anchor Homecare, we believe that everyone deserves to live safely, comfortably, and independently in the place they call home. Whether you're looking for support for yourself or someone you love, we're here to help, with warmth, professionalism, and genuine care at every step.
Our specialist team works with you and your family to design a care or support plan that is entirely personal to you. We take the time to understand how you want your care to look, what matters most to you, and how we can best fit around your life , not the other way around.
Our mission is simple: to improve life for the people we support and for the families who love them — and to make sure every member of our team feels proud of the work they do every single day.
Home is where the anchor drops.
